Good teaching is one-forth preparation and three-fourths theater. – Gail Godwin
I will be teaching! Yes, the verdict is in – I will be a full-time teacher at Wesley International School in Malang, Indonesia. Well, that’s if my visa goes through. But I’m thinking positive.
What do I think about teaching… well, I’m sure my thoughts will be more meaningful and progressive as I actually start to teach, but I’m excited. Teaching has always been a part of my life and an important one. I’m sure it will be a great experience before flying off to school again. I’m hoping to be applying sometime in the next year and a half or so, but in the meantime I am going to enjoy life in the real world.
In the meantime, I’m hoping (another positive thinking area of mine) to start a small portrait photography business while abroad. I’m still hashing out a business plan but I think it’ll be a good way to keep my photography skills in check and gain a little more experience.
As nerve-wracking as the future is, it’s kind of nice to dream.
